Homestay Host Requirements / Criteria
As well priding ourselves on providing a high level of service we adhere to the following values:
- DBS (police) and reference checks are required
- Experience of working with under 18’s and be located to main transport links
- Be trained in the additional requirements needed for hosting students who are under 18 years of age.
- Sign homestay agreements agreeing to these additional requirements for students who are under 18 years of age.
- All homestay hosts receive our Safeguarding, Prevent Guide, Bullying and Harassment Policy and Junior Guidelines as well carry out Fire Risk
- Assessments in their homes
- All homestays are encouraged to complete a Safeguarding Level 1 online course.
- We also carry the following registration with the BSA and adhere to British Council guidelines.
